At A.M Electrics Devon Ltd, we recently completed a project in Chudleigh where the customer wanted to improve both the security and lighting around the side access of their property. The area runs alongside the house and leads into the garden and outbuilding, which can often become dark during the evenings and winter months.

Installation Overview
The project involved installing a customer-supplied Ring floodlight camera on the exterior wall of the property. The location was chosen carefully so the camera and lights could cover the side access path, garden area and approach towards the outbuilding.
The unit was mounted high on the wall to maximise the viewing angle while also ensuring the lighting spreads evenly across the pathway.
The electrical work involved connecting the fitting to the existing outdoor lighting supply, securely mounting the fitting to the rendered wall, and ensuring all wiring was safely protected and suitable for external use.
Once the fitting was installed, the system was powered up, tested and configured so the customer could connect it to their smartphone and access the camera remotely.
