When we relocated to Holcombe, Devon, one of our first tasks was to find a reliable electrician to install wall lights in four rooms and an exterior light. After some research, I decided to contact A.M. Electrics Devon Ltd, based in Newton Abbot. The process moved swiftly, as I was promptly contacted to schedule a visit for Dan, a member of their team, to assess the required work. During his visit, Dan displayed a high level of professionalism, clearly explaining what would be involved and offering further recommendations where appropriate. Shortly after, I received a follow-up email with a comprehensive and detailed quote. The quote was straightforward to accept electronically, and subsequent payments could be made easily, streamlining the customer experience significantly.
I was particularly pleased that Dan not only carried out the initial assessment and provided the quote, but also returned personally to complete the installation. All work was executed to a very high standard. Before starting the installation, Dan replaced the outdated fuse box with a new compliant version and conducted thorough testing of the electrics throughout the whole house.
Upon completion of the work, I received all relevant certificates of compliance, including the NAPIT Building Regulations Compliance Certificate and the Electrical Installation Certificate. During his initial assessment, Dan also identified that the smoke detectors in the property were outdated and detected a low reading on one of the circuits. Both issues were fully resolved during a subsequent visit.
